Bedtime

TT has been taking 2 naps during the day. They last 1-2 hours. She takes the first nap after breakfast and the other one after lunch. TT is not very excited when it comes to going to bed. She would rather be up and playing with her toys or cruising with her walker.

Godfather

On May 28th which is Grandpa's and Auntie Bora's Birthday we celebrated another event. It was TT's first time to cut her hair. Uncle Martin had the honor to be the Godfather. I went to answers.com to find out the meaning of the word "Godfather". Here it is :

2. One that has a relationship to another person or to something that is the equivalent of being a baptismal sponsor: the godfather of a new generation of nuclear physicists.

So I take it like this : Uncle Martin will sponsor her for the rest of her life which will include college, wedding, birthday parties, trips to Europe, buying nice expensive jewelries, etc. I like the idea of having Martin as her Godfather.

New tricks

I know how to wave goodbye. Every time I hear "Pacim" [Bye] I automatically wave. This happened to me the other day when 2 people said Pacim to each-other I raised my hand and waved to them. Of course I know how to show respect for the aged and also I stand up in the presence of the elderly [mami's age.] I have pictures to prove this.





Ohhh the joys of being an only child!!! Love every second of it!!!

Letters to Tatiana

Dear Tatiana,

I just want to thank you today for being my baby. Thank you for choosing me to be your Mami. It is a privilege to raise you. You have been such a good baby to us- for eating well and sleeping well. You are full of surprises, I'm talking about the good ones. I don't think I had a bad day since you were born. This doesn't mean that I didn't have an exhausting day. Well, you bring such a joy in my life and I'm not saying this to make things better. You are my angel, star, princess, sunshine, flower, my everything! I only hope I will teach you to do good in this world. And even when you will make mistakes, don't you ever think that I don't love you.

You will never be alone. I'm referring to your father being next to you [non stop] and to the readers : Yes you were way off when you were thinking about TT having a brother or a sister :)

Baby Shower

Yesterday we went to a baby shower. The first pit stop was at Coin's [it's a mini mall.] I say pit stop because at Coin's Mami wanted to take pics of me and Auntie Bora, but they had No Photography policy. So there was no need to spend any of our precious time there. So we went to the baby party. This way mami could eat bakllava and other delicious food.

Probably some people have no clue what Bllok means. This is where mami went out everyday when she was in her teens. This is the best place to be for the adolescents in Tirana. If you are above 15 this is where you belong. This is IT!! So mami, her friend Iva and my friend Darlin spent a delightful afternoon enjoying each other's company.

9 Months Old

Tatiana's new trend is to check facebook everyday. I am just kidding people. I must say though that she really enjoys the company of grandma and grandpa. When mami has more important assignments to do [such as blogging] grandma and grandpa become her amusement. TT entertains herself by pulling grandpa's ears, nose, lips [or glasses as shown in the picture below.] She is determined to finish the game no matter what, even if grandpa is in pain.







Finally 9 Months Old!!! I can't keep up with her. Tatiana is growing everyday. She is so energetic that she makes me look so old.







Milestones this month

* Tatiana now can pull herself up to a standing position from sitting down.

* TT can stand while holding on to someone or something.

* She uses the "pincer grasp" holding tiny objects between her thumb and

forefinger.

* Tatiana drinks from a cup.

* Clap Hands

* She can stand alone for a few seconds or perhaps longer.

* TT says "mama" or "dada."

* She understands the meaning of "no."

Interesting facts [9 months old]

* Yesterday waved "goodbye" for the first time to Grandma Tatiana and Grandpa Shpetim when it was the bedtime.

* Says ba-ba non-stop, sometimes she switches it to aba-aba.

* Her weight is 9.5 kg [20.9 lbs] and her height is 70 cm. When she was 8 months old her weight was 8.8 Kg.

* Tatiana is able to pull herself up from a sitting position.

* She is an interior designer. Tati will decorate our family room without taking our opinion into consideration. She will move things around the couch in a way that seems attractive to her, thus creating a certain "feel" for the room.

* TT is a troublemaker. The other day she was playing [biting] the remote control and bit a button that changed our whole evening. We couldn't use the remote control anymore. So my Dad tried everything to fix it. Nothing. Then my brother Martin took another look at it. Again nothing. The next day a brilliant idea came to my father's mind. He gave the remote back to TT. And viola... she fixed it! Let me rephrased it again : She is a repair woman.

TT has been sleeping a little better. She wakes up once or twice at night. Well I shouldn't complain because as soon as I nurse her she goes back to sleep. And nursing her at night varies from 2-5 minutes. So it's not a big deal. I think she doesn't do really good with co-sleeping. Lately I sleep at the bottom of my queen bed so TT could have it all for herself. And it works like a charm. She loves the space and sleeps like a baby. By the way whoever invented the saying "sleep like a baby" never raised one.
